One Picture is Worth A Thousand Words

Image
I believe that this picture to the right is worth a thousand words, and more. It shows a young boy who is lifting the ocean up like it is a carpet, only to see an assortment of plastic and garbage underneath the surface. This image means to imply the point that there is a lot of pollution under our ocean including plastic and garbage that we simply throw away. Not only does this image represent pollution underneath the water's surface, but it also shows a crab who is not in the water, which could be poisoned and damaged by the garbage through consumption as well as bioaccumulation. The aquatic life in the sea first of all can mistake the garbage and plastics for food and ingest them and die. They can also pass it up through the food chain through the process of bioaccumulation. As well, habitats are destroyed by the garbage leaving smaller fish vulnerable to predators. Overall, this picture evidently is worth a thousand words. ...

Comic Strip

If I write a comic strip, I would make it about a moment in my life here I really felt I gained some useful knowledge. For example, many times in my tennis career, I received unbelievably amazing feedback and advice from my coach, so I would want to share that with everybody, as I feel it made a huge difference for me. The main topic of the strip would be about a young athlete who received advice that changed his life drastically. The characters would be the young athlete, his/her parents, coaches, and friends.

My Favourite Form of New Media

My favourite form of New Media currently is by far, social networking. Social media applications and networks include youtube, snapchat, Instagram, twitter, facebook, linked in, and many more. All of these networks  allow you to upload vi deos, photos, create a blog, post events, join groups and send messages. As well, w hether work-related or for personal use, a social networking site allows you to share information and media at the click of a few buttons. I personally use social media networks such as Instagram and snapchat to communicate with my friends and family, as well as post and send pictures and videos to transmit information  of where I am, what I am doing, whenever I would like. I also use youtube for personal fun and enjoyment, to watch videos of gamers or streamers playing online games, as well as doing vlogs around the world.       I believe that social networking  will always remain at the top of new media,...

Photography over the days

It is extremely evident how photography has expanded over the years, from the late 20th century to the modern stage it is currently at. The process of photography involves  point and shoot: point the camera at the subject that you want to capture, click the shoot button on the camera and the image is captured either on film or an internal storage microchip. The information is then yours to either have developed (as with the film) or upload to your compu ter for storage, viewing or enhancement. In the 19th century , the first surviving photo was taken by Nicéphore Niépce, the process took 8 hours. Over the decades, as technology  expanded, the process of taking a photo and being able to regard it and either modify or store it has been shortened. Now, there are increasingly expanded technological   cameras  and lenses that give the ability to zoom in and out at unbelievable frequencies and angles. Photos also take less tha...

How I Feel The Way I Send And Receive Messages Has Changed Throughout My Life

I feel that since I began to really send and receive information online and non in-person was when I was around 9 or 10, technology around me was very advanced at the time, and I was able to send and receive emails, as well as use instant messaging on my device to contact friends and family. Back before I was 9 and 10 years old, I did not have a distinct device to send online messages through email or instant messaging, however, I did not need to since I saw my friends and family at school and home and tennis everyday. As well, I watched much less T.V. as well as was looking at an electronic screen much less than I do now. However, with the growth of the internet and its array of interconnections such as T.V. videos, advertising, and articles, I would not have had as much variety then as I do know.                                Examples of this are evidently see...
